What are Dates?

A date is just that, a real world date where you take part in some activity at a particular time and place. You can either search for, or create your own dates. If you are creating your own you specify what you want to do, where, and when. When you are searching for a Date you are able to see what other people have posted. You can then use CliqDate's messaging facilities to contact other users about their dates.

What are Singles?

Singles are people like you who have posted a profile. Profiles are useful to allow you to learn about someone when they respond to one of your dates, or if you are thinking of responding to someone else's date you can view more information about them.

What are Stories?

Stories are a great way for people to share some of their dating experiences. You can discuss funny dates, dating pet peeves etc. of yours, and then other people are allowed to comment on the Story. Stories also give people an additional way to find out what someone is really like before they go on a date with them. We strongly encourage people to add stories, and comments to others stories, so as to help people interact with each other and learn more than is just posted in their Singles profile.

How do I comment on Stories?

When viewing someone’s Story, simply click the “Add Comment” button and add your comment.

How do I remove someone’s comment on my Story?

If you are not satisfied with someone’s comment, you can easily report the comment using the “report” button and you can optionally block that user. The comment will then be immediately removed.

How do I block other users?

There are two ways to block a user from contacting you:

  1. You can report the user using the “report” button and click on "block" to block that user. See "How do I report a Single, Date or Story?"
  2. If the user has messaged you, you can click on the "block" button within the message to block that user

How do I unblock other users?
  1. Click on the "My Account" button near the top right of the page.
  2. Next click the red “My Singles” link.
  3. Next click on the red “Blocked” link.
  4. Click on the name of the user you wish to unblock. This will take you to that person's profile
  5. Click on the "unblock" button.

How do I know if I have been blocked?

You'll know that you're blocked if you get a block message when you try to contact someone who has specifically blocked you.

What if someone is engaging in inappropriate behavior?

Report them! CliqDate is moderated by you and the rest of the CliqDate community and it has built in mechanisms whereby if enough people report content for not following CliqDate’s Terms of Service, their content and/or account will be immediately deleted.   1. Go to the Single's Profile for a Single, the Date listing for a Date, or Story listing for a Story and then
  2. Click on the Report Button
  3. Fill out the Category to say why you are blocking this Single, Date or Story
  4. Optionally enter a comment
  5. Optionally block the user so that you can no longer view their information

What are Bookmarks?

Bookmarks are useful to help you remember a Single, Date, or Story, so that you don’t have to search for it again. Simply click the Bookmark button to remember it.

To view your Bookmarks or remove one:

    Click on the "My Account" button near the top right of the page.
  1. Choose the red “My Bookmarks” and you will be shown a list of your current Bookmarks.
    • * If you wish to delete one of them, click on the specific Bookmark and then choose the “remove” button.

Why can't I login?
    There are several possible reasons:
  1. You've forgotten your password and you are entering it wrong. Go to the Login Page at www.cliqdate.com/login and request that your password be sent to you again or
  2. You've been deleted from cliqdate.com due to one or more of the following:
    • Indecent content, nude images, harassment of other users or otherwise violating the Terms of Use.
    • We immediately delete escorts, scammers, spammers, anyone trying to sell something on cliqdate.com, and anyone trying to direct members to other websites.

How do I change my username, password or any of my other information?

Login to cliqdate.com and click on ‘My Account’ at the top of the screen. Next, click on ‘Edit’ and you’ll be able to change your username, password and other information. Don't forget to click the Update button at the bottom of the page to save your changes.

How do I manage the photos that I have uploaded?
  1. Click on the "My Account" button near the top right of the page.
  2. Next choose the red “My Photos” link.
    • Here you will be provided a list of all the photos you have uploaded including photos for your profile, or for Dates or for Stories. If you wish to delete a photo the following will happen:
    • If the photo you are deleting is your primary profile photo, the photo associated with your Singles listing will become the default CliqDate photo. If you wish to change to a different photo you will need to choose a new primary photo by clicking the My Account button and then the “edit” button to edit your profile.
    • If you delete a photo that is the photo associated with one of your Dates or Stories one of two things will happen.
      1. If the photo is also your primary profile photo, the Date/Story listing will have a generic CliqDate photo associated with it.
      2. If the photo is just the photo associated with the Date/Story, the Date/Story listing will use your primary photo instead.

What do the functions in the quick view bar do?

That bar is the quick view bar that shows what activity there has been on your account since you last logged in.

  • The “views” link portion shows you how many people have viewed your profile since you last logged into CliqDate.
  • The “bookmarks” link shows you how many people have bookmarked either your profile, or one of your Dates or Stories since you last logged into CliqDate.
  • The “messages” link shows you have many new messages you have since you last logged into Cliqdate.

I forgot my password, what do I do?

If you forgot your password you can have it emailed to you. Simply navigate to the login page at www.cliqdate.com/login and choose the "forgot password?" button. If you don’t see the email containing your password in your inbox within 1hour, check your "junk" folder.

How do I submit a new profile picture?
  1. Click on "My Account" near the top of the page.
  2. Next Then click the ‘Edit’ button to edit your profile information.
  3. Towards the bottom of that page is a section named "your profile photos". Here you are able to click the "Add Photo" button to add a photo. A new window will open that will allow you to choose a new photo to upload. Once it is uploaded you may optionally select the “Set” button to make it your main profile picture.

What are the guidelines for photos?

Images must be in JPG, BMP, or GIF format. Images must NOT contain any nudity or offensive material. Images must NOT contain cartoons or celebrities. If images are too large, they will not upload properly.

I’m having problems uploading photos. Why?

The most common error is that you are trying to upload a Word Document or a Text file thinking it is an image. Double check to see that your photo is one of the supported types of JPG, BMP or GIF format. You may also encounter errors if your image already contains compression errors or is corrupt.
